The first edition of the SIGMag has arrived – an initiative by the IHU Students
Dear Friends & Colleagues,
We are happy to inform you that after 8 months of interviewing, editing, designing and improving we are ready with the first edition of SIGMag. We would like to thank you IHU for supporting and giving us the platform and to all the participants of the first call we made around 8 months ago for their valuable time, patience, feedback and interest.
SIGMag is an independent digital magazine about fostering curiosity, spreading inspiration and providing empowerment to all in need especially to the students and youth communities of the Globe, while promoting lesser known second tier cities which are full of inspirations, initiatives, liveliness, creativity and diversity.
Inaugural Edition’s theme is ‘City of Thessaloniki’. In this edition we have taken interviews with inspiring personalities and organizations we are working towards changing the perspective of the positively. In this edition you can read the interview with architectural minds behind New waterfront of city, Mr. Nikiforidis and Mr. Cuomo to IRIDA, only women only center of Thessaloniki.
Idea behind this edition is make people aware about the city of Thessaloniki especially in the parts of the world which are not aware about such a beautiful, vibrant, diverse, multi-cultural, historic, youth city! For the same we would like your help if you can spread and share it through different social media and other channels.
We always love and are open to hear your suggestions, critical feedback, ideas like which city could be theme of second edition, or your interest for helping and participating in our projects. Also, we have started another project called “1000 reasons to Love Thessaloniki”. In it we are aiming to collect 1000 video testimonials of people and personalities saying top three reasons Why they love Thessaloniki. We would love if you can send your video testimonials or if you are camera shy then fill our We love Thessaloniki survey.
