Step 2: Setup
AFW
After you have
downloaded AFW you will need to configure its settings and tailor the system
to your groups' needs. Follow these instructions:
-
Double click on the AFW icon and
after 5 seconds a dialogue box will appear indicating that you need to
configure the system. Click OK in the dialogue box.
-
Enter the details in the upper
part of the form- a sensible project title (e.g. CN2003 Project), your team
name (such as your group number) and your client (such as your tutor's name).
-
In the lower part of the form,
you must enter details of each group member. Give each group member a
unique id (such as their initials), followed by their name and email address.
The system will make use of this information later.
-
When you have completed the
form, press the button labelled 'Save parameters and exit'.
-
Now restart the system by double
clicking on the AFW icon. This time (and on all subsequent uses) you
will get a login box. Select your name from the drop-down list, leave
the password field blank and press 'Continue'.
-
If this is the first time you
have logged in, the system will prompt you to enter a password, followed by a
confirmation of the password. Do not forget this password as on all
future occasions you will need to enter your chosen password.
Step 3:
Changing the AFW setup
If on future
occasions you wish to change the AFW setup, log into the system and press the
button labelled 'Project details'. This will take you back to the
initial setup screen where you can add project members, change the project
description etc.
